I’m a big fan of contemporary architecture that plays a lot with traditional forms, textures, and colors, but in unique ways (see Hunderwassar for the *extreme* of this). This house is very contemporary, but you can see that its based on a traditional footprint, roofline, texture, and slate coloring.
